Mikasa sets a folded origami paper shade on a solid mango wood base. The laminated paper holds its shape, and every fold catches the light a little differently, so the glow comes with soft shadows.
It's one of our most-loved lamps: warm on a bedside table, calm on a console, and just as good switched off as on.
