The room
It had everything it needed, and nothing that made you want to stay.
A bed, a desk and a bright bulb in the ceiling. So our founder made a lamp from what was at hand.
When it switched on, nothing dramatic happened. The room just felt warmer, slower, more like someone's own.
What stuck
How a room feels matters more than how it looks.
And light decides how it feels, more than the sofa, the paint or the art on the wall.
What we make now
Table, floor and pendant lamps in paper, banana leaf, linen and metal, made in small batches in India.
Each design is reworked until its light feels like that evening: warm, low and easy to sit in.
